Restoring our lands and forests is key to securing our future

UNDP’s Administrator highlights that the restoration of land and forests promises to solve multiple challenges. He says “nature-based strategies, including restoration, provide more than a third of our climate emissions solution, including both mitigation and climate adaptation. He also points to trends in degradation of the Earth’s surface and notes that loss of biodiversity, coupled with intensified impacts from climate change, is having profound detrimental impacts for billions of people around the globe.
