[Nature Hub Opening] Capital Mobilization for Nature: Towards a Nature Positive Economy

We know a net zero economy aligned with 1.5C is achievable only by ending deforestation and accelerating the transition to a sustainable food system this decade. We need to align financial flows with the goals of the Paris Agreement and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. To halt and reverse the climate and biodiversity crisis, we need to double investment in nature-based solutions by 2030 and triple investment by 2050.

During New York Climate Week, this session will spotlight the ‘why’ and the ‘how’ of charting a path towards a nature positive economy leading to COP30. Influential voices from across the private sector and civil society will discuss the status of investment in nature-based solutions, with a particular focus on Brazil, with new insights that find a growing critical mass of bankable and investable opportunities are now available and scaling.
