Nature Positive Transition: The Foundation of a Net-Zero Economy

World Economic Forum

Tuesday, December 5th, 2023
09:00 - 10:00

There is no hope of achieving a net-zero economy unless we protect, restore and sustainably manage Earth’s natural ecosystems. This session will outline the public-private partnership requirements of the nature-positive transition, commencing with a grounding in the value of natural capital and the steps that companies are taking to integrate nature into decision-making. It will then explore innovative financial mechanisms and the associated policy and market incentives required to transition to an economic model that is nature-positive – helping countries to meet their climate, biodiversity and sustainable development commitments.
