From ambition to action: deforestation-free finance for Climate and Nature goals

There is no net zero without nature. It's become imperative that financial institutions, and the companies they finance, to move from ambition to action and disclosure on deforestation. Furthermore, t​​​​​he mounting voluntary and regulatory disclosure requirements for climate and nature are making deforestation risk increasingly material for companies and financial institutions. Building on the momentum from London Climate Action Week, this session will dive into the practical “what” and “how” for investors and companies to take aligned action on deforestation-free finance and to transparently disclose on their nature- and climate-related risks and on their progress towards no-deforestation targets. This event aims to encourage financial institutions to take concrete action and transparently disclose efforts on deforestation, and raise awareness of resources like the Forest Finance Risk Consortium guidance.
