Investable NDCs and NBSAPs (COP 16)

Join us for a discussion on forging public and private partnerships to finance nature-based solutions that benefit nature, climate and people.

Given the revision of NBSAPs required for COP16 and impending NDC revisions due in the coming year, this event provides a timely session to present to businesses how they can support governments to turn their ambition into action. The event can showcase both countries with high NbS potential ambition in their NBSAPs/NDCs/National Plans and businesses who are driving high integrity NbS by working in partnership with regional or national governments i.e. the impact made by REDD+ projects. We will explore the conditions needed to mobilize businesses to finance nature-based solutions with benefits for nature and climate and people. Corporates and financial institutions will share their experience in funding nature recovery, the roles they play today and the role they could play in the future with better alignment between public policies and business needs. Bringing together businesses and Parties will accelerate cross-sectoral progress on NbS ambition and drive needed investment into NBSAPs and NDCs to ensure they deliver on their targets, benefitting people and the planet.
