Summary

“Net zero is just a signpost on the road to regeneration: a regenerative economy, a regenerative society, a regenerative planet. We have great momentum. We have passed a tipping point of awareness on nature-based solutions, so let’s lean in, with all of us coming together to focus on the mission to leave a better world for future generations. The message today is that nature has a key place in the race.”

Nigel Topping, High Level Champion for Climate Action, COP26

The day marked the start of a concerted acceleration effort: the end-game is for nature’s transformative power to be incorporated at all levels of decision-making, especially concerning climate action. It is an ambitious task to cover such a broad-ranging topic as nature and climate adequately in six hours, but given the constraints of our time, the nature-based solutions day of the Race to Zero Dialogues provided a focus for many of the key transformations that our community is working on.
