Measuring Nature Positive

Nature Positive Initiative

Saturday, December 9th, 2023
12:00 - 13:15

Nature Positive – the Global Goal for Nature – means ensuring there is more nature in the world in 2030 than there was in 2020. This will contribute towards the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, the Paris Agreement, and securing a safe and just future. But how can businesses, financial institutes, governments, cities, communities and Indigenous Peoples, and civil society actors contribute to this goal? How much contribution to the goal must each actor make, and will it all add up to bending the curve on nature loss? This session will explore these topics from the perspective of outcome metrics for nature, private sector impacts and dependencies, and the frameworks needed to drive action in a measurable way.
