Nature for Boards: Driving commercial success in the nature-positive transition
Online
Thursday 13th March 2025
9:00 (GMT)
The integration of nature into corporate governance is not just a moral or ethical imperative; it is a strategic necessity for ongoing business success.
By understanding and managing nature-related risks and opportunities at the board level, and by adopting future-facing governance practices, companies can protect their bottom lines, respond to growing regulatory and market expectations, and contribute to a more resilient business, economy and society. The challenge is significant, but the commercial opportunities for those who respond appropriately are substantial.
In collaboration with Pollination, this webinar will explore the critical role of board leadership in integrating and investing in nature and provide practical guidance for directors to act on now. A panel of experts will also share their insights and answer your questions on this crucial topic.
This webinar follows the recent launch of Nature for Boards: A primer, published by Pollination, Chapter Zero and Korn Ferry.
Speakers Include:
Thea Philip – Director at Pollination

Guidance and tools for nature-climate alignment in NDCs 3.0
Online
Wednesday 26th February 2025
9:00 (EST)
Climate instability, biodiversity loss, and land degradation are interconnected crises, and so are the solutions. Protecting and restoring biodiversity, land and ecosystems enhances resilience, which in turn enhances humanity’s ability to adapt to environmental change, more effectively manage its land, concurrently supporting climate mitigation and adaptation.
An unprecedented opportunity exists right now to support governments to align national biodiversity targets and plans (NBSAPs), -which are currently undergoing revision-, with the national climate targets in the new NDCs. This moment presents a crucial opportunity to scale up climate action that yields resilient livelihoods and ecosystems by better integrating nature-based solutions into NDCs.
This webinar will present tools and approaches for incorporating ambition in NDCs through nature-based solutions, particularly as these relate to resilience to climate change adaptation, loss and damage, and opportunities for mitigation within nontraditional sectors. Identifying opportunities for incorporating nature within climate planning not only facilitates policy coherence, but can also better support countries deliver implementation of both climate and nature goals.
The Nature4Climate coalition, as the webinar’s special guest will present its Guide for Including Nature in NDCs, which has been developed to assist national policy makers involved in the revision of NDC. UNDP will present geospatial tools and analysis to better guide NDC implementation through nature. Peru will share how they have included nature in NDC target setting and implementation strategies.
A complementary webinar scheduled for April will focus more specifically on maximizing the role of the AFOLU sector to scale up NDCs and NBSAPs.

How Soil Carbon Credits Drive Sustainability Across Industries
Online
Thursday 27th February 2025
11:00 (ET)
In 2025, companies are bracing for a seismic shift in sustainability reporting. The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is set to redefine how businesses approach and communicate their environmental impact, with soil carbon programmes emerging as a powerful tool in the corporate sustainability arsenal.
The AgreenaCarbon Project has become the first large-scale arable agriculture project registered under Verra’s Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) VM0042 methodology, marking a significant milestone for regenerative agriculture and the Voluntary Carbon Market.
This webcast delves into the intersection of CSRD requirements and the transformative potential of soil carbon initiatves. We’ll explore how these programmes offer tangible benefits to corporate strategies, regardless of industry, and examine the rigorous processes ensuring the integrity of carbon reduction and removal calculations. From direct supply chain impacts in the food and beverage sector to the broader implications for tech companies, we’ll uncover how soil carbon programmes are reshaping sustainability strategies across the board. Additionally, we’ll showcase Agreena’s innovative approach to bridging the gap between farmers and corporations, demonstrating how collaborative efforts are driving meaningful change in agricultural practices and corporate sustainability. In this webinar, you’ll learn:
- The key CSRD requirements enforced by the EU from 2025 onwards and their implications for corporate reporting
- How soil carbon programs provide incremental and net positive benefits to corporate sustainability strategies
- The methods used to ensure integrity in calculating and reporting carbon reductions and removals
- The impact of soil carbon initiatives on both direct and non-direct supply chain companies
- Agreena’s role in facilitating partnerships between farmers and corporations to advance sustainability goals.
