Accelerating and Scaling Nature as a Solution for Equitable Climate Adaptation

Adapting to climate change is a complex dance between natural and human systems. Nature-based Solutions (NbS) can do this by performing “at the interface of the socioeconomic system and the ecosystem to reduce the vulnerability of the social–ecological system as a whole.” This interactive session will explore how equity and justice considerations are embedded in some NbS and why they are missing in others. We will investigate the benefits and challenges of ensuring equitable nature-based approaches to attain resilience and adaptation outcomes.
