The science behind nature: evidence, durability and integrity in carbon markets

This session will move beyond the narrow “permanence debate” to explore the full scientific evidence base – from carbon flux and durability to biodiversity, resilience, and socio-ecological co-benefits.

Through a series of short lightning talks and/or fireside conversations, leading scientists will share what the science actually says – and what it doesn’t – about the role of nature in high-integrity carbon markets.
