Bioeconomy Amazon Summit (BAS)

Officially launched in September 2023 by the Global Compact – Rede Brasil and the venture capital manager KPTL, the Bioeconomy Amazon Summit (BAS) aims to expand the discussion around the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in the Amazon in the global climate change agenda.

Since then, the BAS organization has sought the support of local and national leaders to structure an event in which Amazonian entrepreneurs are the main protagonists of the program. A program that is built through the collaboration of volunteer curators, all with recognized experience in the region’s innovation ecosystem, who meet periodically to discuss BAS themes and names. Currently, the BAS Board of Trustees has around 40 people and discusses themes and programs that should be included in the 2nd edition of BAS, to be held between July 30 and 31, 2025, in Manaus (AM).
