Accounting for a Nature Positive Future

The adoption of the Global Biodiversity Framework at the end of last year heralded a new era for action on nature. In this session we will explore the role that accounting will have in delivering on the promises that were made. The sometimes-overlooked profession is, we propose, the powerhouse behind the action that needs to be taken. From measuring and valuing impacts and dependencies on nature to mobilizing resources and holding actors to account, we need accountants if we are to deliver a nature positive future.
