Investing in Coastal Resilience and Nature-Based Infrastructure

Coastal communities around the world are already proving that nature-based solutions work — restoring mangroves, conserving and restoring fisheries, and building green-grey infrastructure that protects people and ecosystems at once.  And as major new marine infrastructure such as offshore wind moves into these same coastal waters, there is a real opportunity to plan it alongside nature-based solutions, so that clean energy and healthy coasts advance together. This panel brings together the people building these projects on the ground to explore what’s working, and what it takes to ensure flexible, direct finance reaches the community and Indigenous partners on the coastal frontline.
