The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Honduras is the lead organizer of this side event, which will share lessons, experiences and ideas on how REDD+ has and can be catalytic for the effectiveness of ambitious climate commitments. Countries will bring in their views on results achieved and on how the process will flow in to the formulation of long-term low greenhouse gas emissions development strategies, increase the ambition in the update process of their NDC and reach zero-emissions goals through nature-based solutions. Countries expected to present include Honduras, Colombia, Argentina and Liberia.
